i know you're busy
and its hard to keep and catch up
and i know the lights may not be
as cream and yellow as they appear here
or as subtle and soft as they feel

and i know its time for other things
and i know i need perspective and patience
but i know the days sometimes go by out of joint
so paradox isn't always as beautiful
as i had supposed it could be
because i know and i know and i know
and i dont know anything

is 'i miss you' worn out
or simply lacking in meaning
i want to be able to throw it out of my everyday vocabulary
both lacking meaning, and missing.
