key points from the weekend:

2 Chronicles 7:14, which some try to claim for our country is a promise between God and the nation of Israel and therefore is not one that we adopt for our nation-it is a verse that follows intense discipline and cleansing. right now is not the time to be praying for nation wide revival, we are in desperate need of intimate revival on an individual level (right, simple, but Truth cannot be exhausted)

worship should be contextual and current, and repentance/redemption should change it individually and corporately.

past sin does not disappear from memory-and it shouldnt! as Christians we should never give the impression that the memory of sin disappears from our minds with forgiveness, or that it is easy. sin stains and corrupts and scars our hearts. sometimes the memory of sin is the only thing that keeps us from going down that road again. we should not brush off our mistakes so quickly that we loose sight of the magnitude of Jesus' sacrifice, rather we should allow God to break our hearts in it. Nehemiah 7, Psalm 51, Jonah 3.

am i sorry for my sin because of earnest remorse or because i "got caught"?

i am finally completely assured of 'once saved, always saved'; once saved and needing to be remolded always.
