prayer to me has been myself a rambling, disoriented child chattering before You. and i want things bad for me...things that will only spoil my dinner...but as i speak this self-absorbed child, i look up and see You and You stand there silently looking at me. and its this moment in perfect humbleness i see myself as what i am. and i see You, Perfect, and Your presence makes me fall silent. its all i can do..i fall silent before You, paralyzed.
