the bone against flesh
pressing hard
reaching up
almost pushing through
the thin layer of resistance
to reach something i may never grasp
to grasp something i may never reach
pushing through and my skeleton
explodes from its dormant surrender
a crisis of faith and
a crisis to reveal
everything [lie]ing beneath.
