i wish a boy were here, to sing to me. and hold me, and point me in the right direction and help me to get there
to play songs with me and let me sing the harmony
and take me downtown to take pictures and look at paintings and decorate and create and be creative.
and go driving and watch sunsets, sunrises, shorelines, moonlit nights, stars and children.
and get out and write and write. and write and dance until its the next day again.

right now im painting two brown hands reaching down for a bird just beyond their reach.

this is just beyond my reach
