what if's
fill my head
and its not so unusual like this
but like a friend my mind is
jum-
ping
to conclusions, assumptions, creative imagination
and all the questions
i failed to record
this morning while anticipating sleep
are gone now
like a scene from a movie
backwards and out of order
the hardest prayer
i threw from my lips last night
each word
choking
from a creative imagination
that knows not what tomorrow may bring
that knows not what yesterday has brought
and knows less of others thoughts
though i have convinced myself of a level of omniscience
and we will wait and see
and we will stay in Your Will
and Your Will will guard our hearts and minds
