all the girls
they all glow
they all shimmer
beautifully
perfectly
like well groomed animals
everything in its place

and you sit alone
like an ignored child
hypocritically challenging
and claiming to
ignore outward beauty
and yet you cant sit
you must go home

thorns in the flesh
the way you see yourself
and all that it hinders
you know its not right
you know they dont think it
but you drink their appearances
as you spit out your own

and crying on the drive home
you dont want to cry
but you live in lies
you dont understand
why
they see you as pure-hearted
they see you as Godly
all the while your being eaten
hollowed inside
by the faces they paint
and its why you cant read
all the pretty faces
